US Fed Revises Economic 2009 Outlook
The US Federal Reserve severely downgraded its projections for 2009. Unemployment numbers have been lifted to between 8.5 and 8.8 percent instead of 7.1 to 7.6 percent, and the Fed now believes that the economy will contract between 0.5 and 1.3 percent as opposed to the original estimate of 0.2 and 1.1 percent.
