Swiss Retail Numbers Rise in July

Following a growing trend Retail Sales in Switzerland rose in July. Consumer electronics, food and household products were the preferred choices of consumer spending. Shoppers in Switzerland share the optimism felt in other countries even as recession is still present and there is rising unemployment.

Logic would point to a decline in Retail Sales in the coming months as more companies continue to reduce their working force, but government stimulus is expected to lessen the brunt of record unemployment
