Investors abandoned the dollar today as the Institute of Supply Management Index rose to 50.9 from 48.4 in August, prompting gains in New York and Toronto today. By 2:30 PM New York time, the DOW rose nearly 95 points to 9582.14, while the TSX Composite rose more than 150 points to 11,112.28.
